We went out to look at a used 2010 Nissan Versa today and we drove home in it. It’s the first car we’ve looked at. Bad form, I know, but Corey was desperate to resolve this issue and he doesn’t really care what car he gets, as long as the deal is good. It was a good deal. We got a great price and a low monthly payment.
I can say that I trust Nissan dealers, they are always nice and easy to deal with. Still try to take all your money, of course, but they are nice about it. I would say that my family has always had good luck with Nissans, but that’s not entirely true… My mom had a Nissan Altima, which was great, and it was passed down to me, and I… well… wrecked it. That magical accident I told you about back on the original site where I was driving in the rain, the car slipped and flung backwards into a couple circles across 4 lanes of traffic, barely missing the guard rail, scraping its bottom and tail on some rocks and then somehow straddling a ditch (needs retelling for all those imaginary new people who come along). It needed more repairs than it was worth but I still think it held up nice, and it wasn’t the Nissan’s fault… We sold it to one of those guys that fixes up cars to sell, and about a year or so later I was helping a lady with her groceries out to her car, and there is was. I SWEAR it was my car! All fixed up, but it had to be it. It’s very strange though, since customers rarely want help out, and rarely have a girl to help them out, but there I was… loading my car up with someone else’s groceries…
But yeah, I wrecked my Altima, and maybe we don’t need to talk about my brother’s yellow Nissan… (I think it was a Sentra). Once again, not the Nissan’s fault it got totalled… along with my brother. We Butler children are the bad luck here, although I have no idea what caused my accident and only Andy knows what caused his. Honestly I think it was because we both had a girl in the passenger seat. They’re bad luck, those girl people.
Dad also had a Sentra for a while. It didn’t get into any accidents!
But yeah. Nissan good. Cheap used car. Hope it does well.

Had the same thing happen to my Chevy Cavalier I owned about a decade ago. I t-boned a girl that ran a stopsign and the car was a total loss. Half a year later, I was driving down the highway and I saw my car all fixed up. There was a particular paint scrape on the rear bumber and it still had the same license tag on the back. I wonder how many used cars were wrecked, repaired, and resold?
A lot, probably. Just feels weird seeing someone else drive a car that I destroyed and found unfit to drive ever again. I assumed it would gone forever. Then I get jealous and possessive and want my car back! THAT’S MY CAR! I hate how I get attached to inanimate objects…
