Creativity / Dr. Who Tardis Xbox Case
« on: January 18, 2013, 02:39:20 PM »
I've had a hankering for something creative. Now that I have a little time on my hands (And the parts from an Xbox 360) I would love to make a case that looks like the Tardis from Dr. Who. Something like this:

But for the 360. I've looked around, and no ones done it for the Xbox (and taken a picture or posted about it anyway.)

Ashley has recently gotten addicted to the show, and I think it would be kinda neat to have a Tardis hanging out next to our T.V.

Put some led lights behind the glass panes, the light on the top could be linked to the power button lights, flashing a certain portion to signify how many controllers are connected.

I have access to all the necessary tools thanks to my grandfather, but the problem is I have no idea how to do anything. I can work the equipment and what not, but aside from that, wiring and assembly along with proper ventilation? Not a clue.

With a whole forum full of people who know a vast amount of both random and useful information, I would like to request suggestions and guidance on this project.  [Dezean]

You head south and are imidiatly met by a sickly figure who seems to have taken a liking towards you. Atleast that's the best you can figure out of the situation, it's heading towards you with open arms. Hug, maybe?

ROLL!

You head west, you are met by a slumped figure who springs up right at your presence and starts towards you, before you know it he's but a few feet away.

Time to start, I have everything set up and ready to go, the only problem migh tbe if one of the pets wrecks the board then it will take me a while to put it back in place.

Starting from here you are all in one group (untill you, or if you, decide to branch off). Who ever acts first will get the upper hand, sadly.

Everyone finds themselves in the middle of an unfimaliar town after what seems to be the lockdown and quarentine of the entire city. After some investigation you learn that there has been an unknown virus, speading at a dangerously high rate. It passes from person to person via the the saliava in the mouth getting into the blood stream. Newly named Contaminarehemaoral, has a death rate of 100%, once bitten the virus is fatal to you...and others. The town has been completely blocked in to keep the virus from spreading, which is a good precaution. But then again, it leaves the still healthy, such as yourselves. But there are still a few ways out! You can get in one of two helacopters, one in town and one in the close-by military base (i made them equal distances apart). Or if you just wanna be gun-ho about it, kill 25 of them, and consider yourself safe from danger and rescued.

From here everyone has the choice to go north, east, south, west or stay and wait for the other survivors to come out of shock.

If you decide to branch of from the others, you will get your own board.

ZOMBIES / Gameplay

How the game will function:

All players will start in "Town Square", which I will try my best to place in the exact middle of town for convenience sake of finding your way around.

IRL, you will be moving in blocks that contain nine squares each, so in game you will only be able to see, in detail, what's in your square at a time. So if you ask what's down the road? I'll tell you what's in the next block which will usually consist of a few zombies and a building.

You are carrying a shotgun, I don't know how all of you got one, but hey, it's a shotgun. When you walk some zombies will be avoidable, like the will be in an enter-able building and you can choose not to enter, or you can choose to take another root. But too/when you engage, you have to get in front of the zombie (I will tell you when you get in a battle so no-one get's ahead of themselves). Your shooting buck shot and that's all that's available. Once you do so roll a d6 like so:
Rolled 1d6 : 4, total 4
and you need to roll a 4 or better to kill the zombie. Sounds a little harsh, i know. but this is the apocalypse, and there are 6 of you out there. You also start out with 3 extra shots. If you where to roll a 2 instead of the needed 4, you could use 2 of your extra shots and make it a kill.

You also start off with 3 hearts (or lives if you wanna call them. Chances are i'll be calling them both). Hearts are used for re-rolls, aka the zombie damaged you and you have to "shoot again". Say you rolled a 1 and only have 2 bullets left, you would have no choice but to give up a heart and roll again.

Inside enter-able buildings will be extra bullets and hearts. You can have unlimited bullets but only 5 hearts (you can be immortal now...). Also inside SOME enter-able buildings will be items that will boost your attack roll. They will be themed around what the building was.

There will be a man in the center of town offering special effects and the such for zombie kill counts. If you buy somehting for 10 zombies, your count will decrease by 10 zombies.

The goal of the game is to either make it to one of two helipads or kill 25 zombies.

Warning: The zombies wander.

Role-Playing / Would anyone be interested?

I was thinking of adapting the zombies game to an rpg for you guys. It would be easy easy enough, I would just make a map with the tiles, basically follow the game rules, but need to find a way to adapt the action cards in. Maybe put in a store or something? Zombie kills for cards, something like that. The goal of the game would be to survive to 25 kills (number might change) or to find one of two helipads. I'm all up for this, and it would be really easy to keep track of all your guys's lives ammo and locations. They have tokens and figures for that :P All I'd really have to do is come up with a store, if any.

The problem is that I go to school from 8-4 and work from 5-11 most days. This upcoming week I have a lenient schedule, school and no work, but i don't want this to just die because I'm not participating.

Feelings?

I need help T_T

I keep straying off the topic and I basically can't think of anything to write about + my writing is just overall horrible (I'm sorry if it makes you cringe).

If any of you are willing to read this over and correct, give a guide, re-write [smug] I would be very grateful.

1st 1.

Topic: "Do you or have you dealt with the peer pressure of underage drinking? If you have, how did you deal with the choices that you made?"

My fail:

In my time at high school, I have dealt with pear pressure numerous times; especially when it comes to alcohol. I live in a very small town with (I believe) two police officers. In that situation the kids easily keep tabs on everything that is going on. Keeping that in mind, when offered, I still turn down offers to parties. I

Health care worker, anyway. Fine, fine, having you people pick the topics turned disastrous, and so did my errant civic mindedness. Hot buttons are what I gots to resort to. Sorry.

Gay marriage. Go for it.

EDIT: Given your arguments about balance, Kyo, you are con.

Nooooo!!!

We have a letter/essay to write about the current health care. We have To pick a side and ether say why our congress men shouldn't vote for it or should vote for it and why. When I look at the official sites for sides (republican and democrat) they look identical but worded differently. I know I'm not gunna find any difference in their site due to the fact I don't follow it on the news. Can anyone help me? I don't really have a side nor do I really know any solid facts other then what was on those sites, so if you're willing, rant about why your side should be voted for or the other shouldn't and I'll do that without argue.

Please help, I'm no good at this politic thing...
